Products – “Tera-Sense” THz-Bandwidth Signal-Characterization Kit

The Tera-Sense THz-bandwidth signal-characterization kit is optimized to capture the subpicosecond temporal features of electric-field signals that are a primary attribute of the pulsed waveforms output by ultrafast-laser-driven photoconductive switches. Applications may include ultrafast time-domain reflectometry, or the measurement of the sub-millimeter-wave properties of waveguides, materials, and devices. This kit, which is a subsystem that includes all necessary components and comprehensive instructions for assembly by the customer, is intended for use with an ultrafast laser having pulse durations measured in the femtoseconds, which, if not already available in your laboratory or test facility, can be included with the kit as an option. This electro-optic, THz-bandwidth signal-measurement kit will provide a cost-effective, easily assembled solution for extracting and characterizing the shortest duration electric-field signals with the highest temporal resolution possible.

Tera-Sense Kit Configuration

You can order the standard experimental kit, which, when assembled will be ready to plug-and-play in an existing
set-up that includes your own ultrafast laser and your own instrument for the signal to be measured, or you
may choose to add any combination of subsystems that are suitable to your needs. In addition to the main equivalent-
time sampling subsystem and the options shown below, associated instrumentation, such as a lock-in amplifier,
spectrum analyzer, oscilloscope, or DAQ/control software may be optionally included with the kits.
